Pumpkin Pie

Bush's Produce Store on Wednesday held a Pumpkin Smash with some fairly huge pumpkins. They took them outside the store and were cut up with a chainsaw. It was actually quiet messy, but some fun and free entertainment. I am sure the people in their cars driving by were wandering what was happening. Also part of the little event, we were able to take pumpkins seeds from the insides. I am going to plant some in my little courtyard, maybe I shall be able to grow a big pumpkin.

rosemary, cafe' signs & leunig

The past week has been interesting with little adventures. Walking past a favorite cafe to find this lovely message on their sign brightened the day. Crumble also would have been nice.

I also have a lovely rosemary bush in my little courtyard in which I donated a bunch to The Good Loaf: Sourdough Bakery & Cafe' for their baking. Feels special to know my rosemary will be used in their products. Hope to give them more over time.

Plus Monday just gone I was lucky enough to attend the booked out Michael Leunig conversation with Robyn Annear {which was a warm up event for the Bendigo Writers Festival}. He was very inspirational to listen to about his arts progress and practice. I also picked up a signed copy of The Curly Pyjama Letters by Leunig and it is super cute.

Pennyweight Walk Launch

Friday just gone saw the official launch of the new artwork in the Pennyweight Walk Open Air Gallery including a piece by myself. After an official launch by the Mayor of Bendigo it was followed by a Parisian inspired lunch in the lane way with a piano accordion busker livening up the space. The artwork of 12 artists shall be up for about the next two years before new artwork is then put up.
